What is Consciousness, and Does it Arise From Electromagnetic Radiation?

If you put an EEG (electroencephalograph) on your head it is easy to measure the electrical activity of your brain as all the synapses fire their electrical charges, like thunder and lightning going on in different parts. Where there is electricity there is also magnetism, which exists in a field form, like the aura of the body.

The drawback of studying Physics to get at human consciousness is that scientists who write about Physics are trained to look at one event separately instead of seeing the Whole. Human consciousness is so complex and multi-layered that you cannot really get the full picture from physics, or science in general.

It is your own experience of Being and allowing the awareness to relax and expand into the many different dimensions that will get you to an understanding of human consciousness. If you focus on the EEG output, you miss the chemical changes that took place; or if you focus on the chemicals, you miss the changes that took place within the memory crystals within the water of the body.

If you focus on the EEG output, you miss the depth of Consciousness, which goes down the layers from the physical body into the light body and the colour spectrums which exist there. However, you can make the connection to your God Consciousness (the awareness of your nature as God) when you transcend down through the Zero-Point Field to the other side of the veil and beyond into your essence.

This is why I was saying, We Are All One. Everything in the Universe is made of Energy vibrating at different frequencies and acting on combinations of basic elements; it is all connected on many different levels and in many different dimensions.

I cannot see a way for Physics or its related sciences of Biology, Physiology or Neurology to come up with the answers about the nature of human consciousness. It is our own experiences - as we turn our own human consciousness back onto the Self and look deeply at all the nuances of vibration, light, water, and matter which exist in all the various layers of the body - that bring Us to an understanding.

Then one can go beyond into one's light body and through The Zero Point Field, into one's Essence and beyond, in a conscious way, taking oneself out of the physical into the Essence of who one is; one then realizes one's true nature of Being One with the Whole Omni-Verse.

The nature of the Human experience is that we are all individuals; we all have different life experiences to base our knowledge on. We have all realized different aspects of our Self. This is the Divine Dichotomy of the relationship of the individual Part to the Whole and the fact that we are all experiencing different stages of evolution.

That said, I am a firm believer in group consciousness - that, when one of Us gains an aspect of knowledge, it simultaneously becomes available to the whole of Us through intuition or one basic evolutionary programme at DNA level, or gets written in the Akashic Records which are accessible to all; remember, it is all happening in the one eternal moment of Now.

When you are both the Whole and the Part, time and space can get very confusing. But, if you can transcend your Being to a ball of light and notice that you are beyond the bounds of time and space, you get a whole new perspective on life.

I am not basing what I am saying on scientific research, or quoting different experiments. Although these certainly have their uses, they can only give one a fragmented view of life, which is the opposite of the Wholeness and the experience of Being One with everything.

Just a few seconds of the experience (I mean a few seconds of your earth life, but not of the experience itself, which takes place in the Timeless), can change your perspective on Life forever. Consciousness is refining and getting more integrated. Humans are now thinking in terms of layers of matter and energy, which are beyond current physical capabilities to measure or monitor.

The human Being's experience of its Spiritual nature goes beyond science and into the realms of Being. Each of Us has the potential to realize our true nature and experience our Self in our Conscious Awareness that We Are All One.

Hammock Camping - Best Bet for 'Leave no Trace Camping'

Camping is a wonderful way to enjoy and become one with nature. Camping is even more wonderful if it is eco-friendly in the sense that the camping grounds and the flora and fauna associated with it are not damaged. In recent days, we notice more campers using hammocks for camping rather than conventional tents. These hammock camping enthusiasts emphasise that hammocks don't harm the environment in the way that conventional tents do. Most hammocks attach to trees via removable webbing straps and hence they do not damage the bark and leave little or no marks afterwards. The hammocks make it very easy for them to follow the principle of 'Leave no Trace Camping'.

It is very easy to identify a frequently-used campground because of the effect the camping pitches, hooks and other equipments have on the grass, scrub and topsoil. But the presence of a hammock camping pitch is much harder to detect. This has found favour with hikers and campers alike. Hammock camping also opens up many more sites for campers - stony ground, slopes, and so on . The other important benefit from using a hammock for camping is its age old benefit of protecting the sleeper from small animals, reptiles and insects as well as from water or other unsanitary conditions which may exist. Many hammock manufacturers have come up with different designs of camping hammocks like making them light weight, hammocks with mosquito nets, attaching pockets and holders to keep things and so on.

Whatever the type of hammock that is used, no one can deny the fact that hammock camping is in fact a wonderful experience. Nothing can beat the out-of-the-world experience of lying there in the hammock, with a gentle breeze swaying it and gazing at stars above.

Plants - Its Importance To Urban Life

Most of us have not realized the benefits, in which plants can bring to urban life. Plants improve the quality and refresh the air we breathe, considering the gas emitting vehicles and other sources of pollution in which urban life is exposed to. Plants energize life and beautify a dull surroundings, they provide the shade to help cool the atmosphere and protect us from sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. A watershed of plants helps increase the underground water table level which can be an excellent source of our water daily requirement. A closely knit root system of most plants, enable them to hold water and consolidate loose soil particles in place, thus preventing soil erosion. Plants also serve as sanctuaries to insects, bees, butterflies, birds, reptiles and other creatures thus preserving the ecological balance within such an environmental system. Notwithstanding, of the other benefits we can derive from, in the form of herbal medicines, food, wood, flavorings, dyes, spices, etc.

Plants can be grown indoor or outdoor. Sturdy or hard bodied plants are usually grown outdoors, but soft-leafed and soft bodied plants prefer more shade or they get burned from direct sunlight. They can be grown indoor with artificial lighting. Most flowering, fruit bearing plants and vegetables love full sun. Plants' water requirements vary, succulent plants are those can store in their body parts like bulb plants, cacti, and sturdy plants like bougainvillea, palms, and others , they can survive with little watering, moreover , there are plants that need more water provided the soil is not too wet or does not get soggy. A good example are soft bodied plants, ferns, African violets and others. Fertilizer application also varies, flowering and fruit bearing plants need more plant food compared to foliage plants. Organic fertilizer such as dried animal manure, fish emulsion, or by products of compost pit are better and safer to use than chemicals.

Plant propagation is something we need to educate ourselves. Fruit bearing and vegetable plants are mostly planted from seeds borne in matured pods or fruits. Palms are produced from fertilizing seeds or divisions. Woody plants like bougainvillea, santan, and others are propagated by stem or branch cutting . Some plants do not produce seeds, may not respond to stem or branch cutting, in these cases marcotting is applied. Marcotting is usually done by stripping off a portion of plant's bark thin layer about 43 or 63 in length, applied with rooting powder or soil to induce rooting and the wound is fully covered with sphagnum moss or coconut fibrous husk and wrapped it with tape or anything that holds and bind the full covering together. After several weeks , the roots is already expected to show up this time, in which case the marcotted material is now ready for planting.

Improving ones urban life is not that difficult to achieve if everyone appreciates the benefits, these plants can bring in maintaining the ecological balance within the urban community and environment in general.

How to Care for a Ferret

If you've ever watched the antics and acrobatics of a sleek, agile ferret at the pet store or at a friend's home, then you'll understand why ferrets hold that status as some of the most amusing and entertaining pets available today. With all that energy, though, comes a pet that can prove to be highly demanding of your time, patience, and resources. Before you give in to the urge to purchase one of these popular pets, learn to properly care for a ferret and determine whether or not one is really suited to your lifestyle.

In determining whether or not you have a lifestyle and household that's conducive to ferret care, ask yourself where you'll be keeping your ferret. Many ferret owners choose to allow their ferrets to have free reign of the house, but this decision involves litter training your ferret and very thoroughly ferret-proofing your house. Electrical cords that can be chewed must be covered in metal coiling, tight squeezes behind appliances must be blocked off, windows must be kept securely screened or closed at all times, air ducts must be covered with ferret-proof vents, and the floor must be kept clear of any items that might be ingested. Other ferret owners opt to keep their ferrets caged. An appropriate ferret cage will be at least 18" long, 18" wide, and 30" deep. Ferrets love to climb and explore, so the more toys you provide, the better. A litter pan can also be placed in the cage to make cleaning easier. Once of the biggest parts of learning how to care for a ferret is accepting the fact that ferrets can be extremely messy. You'll need to clean your ferret's cage at least once a week, and the litter box will need to be scooped one to two times a day at a minimum. Don't ever use clumping cat litter for ferrets, as it can lead to respiratory problems. Your best choice will be one of the many available natural litters such as those made of recycled newspaper.

Exercise and play is a major part of pet ferret care. If your ferret has free reign of the house, he's probably getting plenty of exercise, but you'll still need to give your ferret plenty of attention by grooming and interacting with him. If you're keeping your ferret caged, he'll need to be let out for a few hours every day for some supervised exercise. Again, make sure that the room you allow your ferret to roam in has been thoroughly ferret-proofed. Give your ferret plenty of toys such as pvc pipes, rubber balls, and cat toys, and keep in mind that one of the greatest things you can do for a single ferret is to get it a companion. Many people choose another ferret, of course, but sometimes, cats and ferrets will get along well, if the cat is introduced to the ferret as a kitten. Never introduce an adult cat to a ferret unless you want to run the risk of the cat regarding the ferret as a tasty meal!

If you're looking into getting a ferret, you're probably aware of the fact that they aren't the sweetest smelling creatures on earth. A lot of their musky odor has to do with whether or not they've been spayed or neutered. Having your ferret spayed or neutered significantly cuts down on musk production. Bathing your ferret can also help, but keep in mind that if you over-bathe them, their musk glands will only work overtime! Regular brushing is needed, as ferrets can get hairballs just like cats. Talk to your vet about preventing ear mites and fleas, and also have him or her show you how to properly trim your ferret's toenails. Your skin will thank you!

Now that you have an idea of the basics of how to care for a ferret, it's time to find your new friend. While pet stores are the obvious choice, many animal shelters also house ferrets, dumped by people who weren't prepared for the time that goes into properly caring for these creatures. Wherever you choose to find your ferret, be sure that you can promise both yourself and your new pet that they'll have a long, happy life to look forward to in your home.
